After retirement to Whidbey Island, Washington, Claudia completed three years of atelier-style study of representational oil painting at Whidbey Island Fine Art Studio in
Langley, WA. Shortly thereafter in 2020, she began showing her work at Rob Schouten Gallery in Langley. In January 2022 she moved to Sandia Heights NE of Albuquerque, New Mexico in the foothills of the majestic Sandia Crest. She is now inspired and challenged by the colors and atmosphere of New Mexico. Her work is a continual series of experiments and discoveries informed by the beauty that surrounds us all. Her goal is to interpret that beauty as she sees it and to capture that vision in oils.
